Foam for the automotive industry

METZOPROTECT (MP) type foam is used in aircraft seats, and has the British attestation (Bunsen Burner Test, Karosene Burner Test, Airbus Technical Specification).

TRANSPROTECT (TP) type foam has been used for many years in public road and rail transport seatings, they have the attestation required by the UK and US railways, and have been certified by the UK Ministry of Defense.

Depending on its type the GRAPHITE foams have an air penetration rate from 100 to 350 l/min.

Each production batch of GRAPHITE foams is tested in the local Vita quality control laboratory for physicomechanical properties and fire resistance according to relevant international and business standards. In addition, within 6–12 months after production the foam is tested in a renowned external laboratory to obtain the required Certificate of Flame Retardance.

PUR open-cell polyurethane foam meeting the FMVSS 302 flame retardancy standards:

  • polyesther foam in rolls up to 2400 mm wide and thickness ranging from 2 mm to 20 mm.
  • polyether foam in rolls up to 2400 mm wide and thickness ranging from 2 mm to 20 mm.
  • polyether and polyester foam in blocks, slabs and profiles
  • laminated polyether foam with non-combustible nonwovens in slabs (self-adhesive)

This type of foam is used for roof linings, armrest trims and door panels, soundproofing mats and heat insulation for the interior of the vehicle and engine compartment, as well as in the manufacture of car paint polishing foam.
